Second Connection is an innovative dating service which combines traditional online dating with real life encounters into a unique model.

They wanted to develop a custom, open source dating platform which would match their unique value proposition of augmenting online dating with real dating experiences in a safe, anonymous manner.

We created a Web 2.0 portal for them while delivering on all features on an open source platform using MySQL, PHP with CakePHP framework.

The main features of the website are:

• User profiles with options to add social, professional and personal information andadd photos and build a photo gallery.
• Mark profiles as searchable by making it public or prevent it by making it private.
• Search user profiles by age, gender, zip code, distance etc.
• Online store with e-commerce functionality to purchase black cards and credits.
• Gift friends black cards and credits.
• Instant messaging with full privacy and security.
• Ability to add advertisements to specific locations on the site and tracking of clickthroughs.
• Administrator section to manage user profiles, shipments and reserving black cards for promotional events.
• Ability to send Virtual Black cards to others.
